I did my undergraduate and graduate English language and literature studies in Marburg, Cambridge, England, and Cologne, in the end not graduating because I moved on to become an Educational Scientist. Since September 2000, I have been teaching English in adult education settings—both academic and non-academic—driven by my passion for the English language and intercultural learning.

My Expertise
Even back in elementary school, I enjoyed helping children of visiting university professors in Marburg to manage the German language and writing in German. In 1992, I spent six months at a high school in the United States. After that, I spent four years providing English-language childcare and homework assistance for an American single-parent family in my hometown of Marburg, and I began tutoring other children and teenagers in English, German, and music.
All of this has sparked my enthusiasm for communicating across countries and languages, contributing to mutual understanding.
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at TU Dortmund University, focusing on teaching university subjects in English as and or non-native English speakers (EMI – English as a Medium of Instruction).
