My services for communicating in English and in German go beyond language courses, taking into account that we communicate across various channels, with and without words. As we also convey attitudes towards ourselves and others through gestures, facial expressions, voice, and tone, intentional communication involves many layers. It can be developed further through new information, reflection, and feedback. I am happy to support you in advancing your communication skills, both in English and in German, for your professional and personal contexts.
Coaching can focus on various areas of life, with coaching serving as an assisted process to achieve your goals. In life-coaching, we focus on topics around structuring and designing your life and lifestyle that you would like to reflect on and change. In job- and business coaching, we focus on topics closely related to your professional context. Creative coaching which can be applied to all areas of life, is about intentionally shaping your life in a more creative way. I’d be happy to guide you through all this with structure and genuine empathy!
We all are creative, even when school grading systems may have convinced us otherwise. However, being creative isn’t about judging the process or the outcomes. It is about putting aside judging quality or quantity. It is about the process of being creative while painting, taking photos, writing, making music, or else. Expressing ourselves through various media instead of expressing ourselves through words only. Through creativity, we can bring out what is in ourselves; we can create something new, we can document it, view, reflect, discuss, process it, encourage ourselves with it, express joy, and more.
About me
Born in 1974, I have been working in continuing education since the year 2000, and have been supporting people in learning in various learning settings. Since 2010, I have mostly focused my work on didactics, as the art of teaching and learning, with a special focus on university didactics and English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI). Targeted communication in German and English is central in these contexts. In all my offers, I like to make use of coaching elements, elements of creativity, and, when suitable, physical activity and relaxation. I love inspiring my services with a variety of methods that I have in my repertoire.
I have always enjoyed supporting others in learning—children from other countries whose parents were visiting professors at the University of Marburg in elementary school; peers in gymnastics and track and field as a child and teenager. Since I was 18, I have also been teaching English, German, music theory, the piano, and various sports to children and teenagers.
As we work together, we shape the process together - tailored to you, aim-oriented, structured, yet flexible, creative, focused, with humour. We will explore learning pathways and possible solutions through multiple perspectives, flexibility in mind and a focus on the way you learn – your lern-art.
